HAMZA N. JILANI
Hamza Jilani is a policy analyst, youth advocate, and community organizer currently residing on the South Side of Chicago.
As an analyst at Civic Consulting Alliance, Hamza provides pro-bono consulting services to government and civic organizations, supporting with strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, organizational design, and change management work that advances safety and justice, economic vitality, health, and education in the Chicago region.
As a health justice organizer with Southside Together (formerly STOP), where Hamza served as a Treatment Trauma campaign coordinator and led neighborhood canvassing efforts in the 6th and 20th wards for the Bring Chicago Home campaign, Hamza works towards a holistic approach to public safety that centers public health, housing, and youth.
Additionally, Hamza serves as an advocate for justice-impacted young people on the Illinois Juvenile Justice Commission’s Youth Advisory Board.
In 2024, Hamza earned a bachelor's degree in economics and political science with a minor in environmental and urban studies from the University of Chicago. As a student, Hamza served as a policy research and special projects intern in the Mayor’s Office under the Deputy Mayor for Businesses, Economic and Neighborhood Development and led UChiVotes, a student-run voter engagement organization at the Institute of Politics.
